When you engage in certain activities on this site, such as ordering or registering products, downloading software, and the like, Specialty Tech-Shoppe may ask you to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form. It is completely optional for you to engage in these activities. If you elect to engage in these activities, however, Specialty Tech-Shoppe may ask that you provide us personal information, such as your first and last name, mailing address (including zip code), e-mail address, employer, job title and department, telephone and facsimile numbers, and other personal identifying information. When ordering products or services on the site, you may be asked to provide a credit card number. Depending upon the activity, some of the information that we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. Since this information is not accessible from outside Specialty Tech-Shoppe, you will not be asked to select a password in order to view or modify such information.

Please note that any information you post to a public bulletin board or guestbook is available to all persons accessing that site.

OPTING OUT:

Information provided at the time of Product Purchase, Product Registration or submission of Contact or Support forms may be used for marketing and promotional purposes by Specialty Tech-Shoppe, our affiliates, resellers or companies associated with Specialty Tech-Shoppe. To keep you in control of your personal information and the communications directed to you, we allow you to opt out of the following services: sharing your information in our client list, receiving communications from Specialty Tech-Shoppe about new features, products, services or specials, and receiving communications about offers from third-party companies that offer a product or service that we think would be of value to you. If a site visitor objects to such use for any reason, he or she may stop that use by e-mail request to info@sts-inc.org. USE OF IP ADDRESSES:

An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you log onto the Web. Web servers -- the big computers that "serve up" Web pages -- automatically identify your computer by its IP address.

Specialty Tech-Shoppe collects IP addresses for the purposes of system administration, to report aggregate information to our advertisers, and to audit the use of our site. When site visitors request pages from the Web site, our servers log the visitor's IP addresses. We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that a user's session will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us.
